A major programming and charrette process preceded the design of Leander Middle School No. 9. Five key concepts (Differentiated Instruction, Student Engagement, Learning Environment, Collaboration and LISD Culture) emerged during the process. The resulting design of Leander Middle School 9 is a very transparent building with flexibility, flow-out spaces, and destination spaces. Outdoor learning spaces connect with indoor learning spaces. Natural light and green features enhance the quality of the learning environment. Project Cost: 33,000,000 Completion Date: Projected Spring 2012 |
